Hi I’m Gen,
I’ve lived in the Waltham Forest/Redbridge area for over a decade, of which eight years have been spent exploring every nook and cranny of the surrounding outdoor dog-friendly spaces these boroughs have to offer, with my beautiful dog Hendrix.
Growing up in Essex with Epping Forest and the Roading Valley nature reserve on my doorstep, I was always outside exploring and have always been an avid nature lover and animal enthusiast. I shared my early years with my family dog Joshua (GSD) and many domestic Moggys.
As an adult I regularly took my friends dogs for walks in London's green spaces, Brockwell and Richmond Park, Hampstead Heath and Highgate Woods were just some of my local spots, long before 'Borrow My Doggy' was even a concept.
I’ve always been interested in health and nutrition, but it wasn’t until a position became available at Surrey Docks Farm teaching adults about the bio diversity and sustainability of the city farm, that I began to understand how important what we feed ourselves and the ones who share our lives is.
Though I was surrounded by animals of every shape and size I was still desperate to find a four legged pal to share my life with. At twelve weeks old, Hendrix came crashing into our lives.
